Day 14 - Templars and Trevi Fountain

March 24, 2019

The second half of this day started with observing a Procession of the Knights of Templar order. We're not sure where them came from on this day, but they came in numbers.

The women were in black.

Here's one last look at the Italian Parliament building.

We moved on to the Trevi Fountain, the largest Baroque fountain in the city. It's also one of the most famous fountains in the world. This site attracts a large number of young people.

Here's a movie of the fountain:

The backdrop of the fountain is quite spectacular.

Edith questioned why I took this next shot, but it reinforces that this is a young people's spot. They come here to be seen, and often pose for photos.

We were nearing the end of our day and were looking for someplace to eat. This looked tempting but a little too much out in the open.

A couple of more shots and we called it a day.

We returned to the Piazza del Popolo and were greeted by the sounds of Pink Floyd.
